Hungarian onion wholesale offer

An important part of our onion offer comes from Hungarian grower lots. Among our key sourcing regions is Makó and its surroundings, whose onion-growing traditions are known nationwide. Depending on the current season and stock, we offer lots in various sizes and packaging.

Growing areas and origin

Makó and the onion-growing region of the Southern Great Plain are one of the best-known domestic growing areas for Hungarian onions. We also work with other Hungarian grower regions according to current availability.

Quality and characteristics

Good-quality onions are firm, have a properly dry skin, a characteristic aroma and store well. Raw, they have a sharper taste, while cooked they give dishes a sweeter, fuller flavour.

Where do the onions come from?
We work mainly with Hungarian grower lots, primarily from Makó and the Southern Great Plain onion-growing region, according to that season's availability.
What packaging is available?
Packaging depends on the given lot; both mesh bags and crates can be arranged when requesting a quote.
Can onions only be picked up in Budapest?
No. The goods can be collected at the Budapest Wholesale Market, but on request we also arrange delivery to domestic addresses (for example Győr, Debrecen, Pécs, Szeged) as well as to our foreign partners.
Can foreign partners also buy?
Yes. We also serve foreign B2B buyers looking for Hungarian produce or a Hungarian fruit and vegetable supplier. Terms are agreed based on quantity and destination.
